Father Victor Cinson ’71 celebrated the 50- year jubilee of his ordination to the priest- hood on May 14, 2024. He is the pastor of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern, Ohio, and St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva, Ohio.

1980s
Christine Arabik ’85 works as community manager at an apartment complex for elderly/disabled residents in central New York. She says,“It’s been a worthwhile challenge. I also raise cocker spaniel puppies periodically. Feel free to friend me on Facebook! Warm regards to all my friends who journeyed with me from 1981-1987 for the best college experience ever.”
Jim ’87 and Meg (Forsythe MSE ’95) Beckman made the move back to Colorado this past summer, after six years living in Oklahoma City working for the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. Jim works with ImpactCenter, a Catholic apostolate dedicated to ministering to those in full-time ministry roles, and Meg has returned to school counseling by working for St. Raphael’s Counseling Clinic under the umbrella of ArchDEN Catholic Charities.
Michael Coyle ’84 lives in Charlotte, N.C. He has worked as the programmer analyst for the Office of Financial Aid at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., for the past 13 years. He has taught adult faith enrichment classes at his parish for five years and led annual fall weekend retreats in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina for the past six years. 1990s
Father Stephen Alcott, OP ’94, began serving as the pastor of St. Patrick Church in Columbus, Ohio, in November 2016. He concluded his tenure there in June 2024 and became the first Dominican pastor of St. Barnabas Church in Bellmore, N.Y., a new apostolate of the Dominican Province of St. Joseph. Succeeding Father Alcott as pastor of St. Patrick’s is Father Paul Dominic Marich, OP ’08, who has served as parochial vicar there since his ordination to the priesthood in 2022.
Victoria Cain ’97 says, “My day program moved from Watertown to Norwood, Mass. It has been going on 12 years now, and I still live in my own apartment with PCAs coming in to help me out. I still love Jesus and love him more with each passing day!”

Lisa (Smith ’95) Glick and her husband of 25 years, Jason, live in Fort Myers, Fla., with their sons Joshua, 18, and Brandon, 16. After 11 years at Bank of America, Lisa embarked on a career as a stay-at-home mom and homeschool teacher. At present, she is the women’s club president for the Stoneybrook at Gateway community where she and her family reside. She thinks fondly of her college years and friends, especially her sisters in Totus Tuus Maria Household.
2000s
John ’00 and Catherine (King ’02) Bovey have been married for 21 years and have four kids. Olivia, the oldest, began attending Franciscan in fall 2024; Philip, 16, attends Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame in Spokane, Wash.; and Andrew, 11, and Rachel, 6, are homeschooled. John is in his 16th year of running his business, LIVE Online Math (liveonlinemath.com). He says, “It continues to grow in a variety of ways and primarily serves homeschoolers, offering math classes, tutoring, and more via live, real-time online sessions. There are also video courses, a supplemental practice system (Infinite Math), and a few other things as well.”

Emily (Bissonnette ’06) Macke and her husband, Brad, are co-founding Fiat Classical Academy with another couple outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, in southeastern Indiana. In September, they hosted the Fiat Family Fun Fest, which brought together several alumni to hear Kevin Heider ’07, Paul Rousseau ’05, and Brother Ross Henley, OFM ’08. Paul serves on FCA’s board, and alumni Brad Bursa ’08 and Tony Ertel ’08 serve on the advisory team. For more information, visit fiatclassicalacademy.org. Seth Spears ’04 is the founder and chief visionary officer of Wellnesse, a B Corp Certified brand of all-natural, fluoride-free oral care products, as well as the founder of Rewild Gear, an outdoor equipment company he started with his three brothers, Josh ’08, Adam ’11, and David. A father of six, he splits his time between the beaches of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and the mountains of Boulder, Colo. Seth would love to connect with other Franciscan University entrepreneurs and business owners.
2010s
David ’14 and Jessica (McGee ’16) Belkowski welcomed their second daughter, Eliana, in April. She is well looked after by her four older siblings, Gemma, 6, Peter, 4, Benedict, 3, and Joseph, 2.
Kerian ’20 and Mary (Wyrzykowski ’18) Federoff welcomed their baby boy, Edward, into the world this past September.
Christian Ferris ’16, former vice president of Franciscan University student government, is a California State Certified Code Enforcement Officer conducting residential and commercial property inspections within the city of Burbank, Calif. Christian says, “Code enforcement helps to increase quality of life, provide for public health and safety, and maintain property and home values. And believe it or not, my manager is Franciscan alum Patrick Prescott ’97!”
Sarah Flickinger ’17 married Russell Yskes in July 2019, and they have three beautiful children. Sarah says, “I built on my amazing nursing foundations from Franciscan by getting a master’s degree in nursing and now work via telehealth for FEMM (Fertility Education and Medical Management), helping women with hormonal concerns in a way that promotes the sanctity of the human person.”
Dave ’11 and Mandy (Dichtl ’12) Griswold welcomed their seventh child in December 2023. Baby James joined five older brothers and one big sister.
Sarah Hinkley ’16 is a preschool teacher at St. Monica-St. Michael School in Barre, Vt.
Jimmy Lynch ’11 and his wife, Jenna (Kizewski ’10), have moved back to Jenna’s home area in Wisconsin where Jimmy became a principal at a local Catholic school. He recently accepted the headmaster’s position at a new Catholic classical school in Wausau, Wis. Jimmy says, “Coincidentally, and partially on purpose because I know the background of Franciscan’s ability to form students, everyone who has been hired is a Franciscan alum. We only have four staff members right now as we are just opening, and they were all at Franciscan at different times, Beth (Ellis ’99) Mergen, Anna McCarty ’18, Ellie McCarty ’21, and myself.The school is being opened by the Newman Catholic Schools system in the Diocese of Lacrosse and is being headed by Father Sam Martin.”

Nicole Rewerts ’21 MA ’24 married Anthony Scott on April 27, 2024, and graduated with her master’s in Catholic studies May 11, 2024.
Anna Telepak ’21 married John Williams. “I came from a large Franciscan family. My mom is one of 10, and 8 of them went to Franciscan. I have four cousins who attend there now, and half of my bridesmaids are Franciscan people, too! We love Franciscan!”
